The admirable Bob Hendrickx has launched a website listing many of the cafés in Flanders that feature in his two guides Originele Cafés in Vlaaanderen and Eetcafes in VlaanderenI. We wait to see how often these will be updated but it looks like a good source of new leads in the north of Belgium

Meanwhile the Orval brewery has published a list cafés on the French-language pages of its website that it believes sell Orval in peak condition. To qualify cafés have to offer the beer both from the fridge ("frigo") and at room temperature ("temperée"). Three-quarters of the cafés are in Wallonia and as such handing implies a reasonable knowledge of beer, the 140 new names should make a good target list for intrepid beer hunters in the south of Belgium.
